Jean E. Tanaka is a founding partner of the firm and has spent her entire career practicing transactional entertainment law. As a founder, she has been instrumental in shaping the culture of the firm and its core belief that a diverse and inclusive workplace, coupled with providing top quality legal services, makes for the best possible representation.

Jean’s clients include writers, showrunners, producers, directors, on-camera talent and production companies for both scripted and unscripted television, film, video games and new media. For more than 30 years, Jean has assisted clients by emphasizing a collaborative approach in which she, the client and other representatives are partners in the strategic planning of and the achievement of her client’s career goals.

Jean and her husband and daughters share a love of travel and exploration of cultures and cuisines.
